|Matthew Cedillo – Edinburg, TX
Hello, my name is Matthew Cedillo, and I am one of the recipients of the Security First Credit Union Scholarship. I am currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, and I plan on continuing my studies at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.
I was born and raised here in the Valley with my sister. Growing up, I was always in sports, and I continued playing during my academic career until I got injured and decided to focus on my studies.
Furthermore, ever since I was young, I have always found a fascination with puzzles, and this led to gain interest in engineering. The engineers are the problem-solvers of our communities, so I hope one day to make a positive impact on my own community.
Finally, I would like to thank Security First for gifting me this scholarship to allow me to pursue my education at the next level.
